Harry Potter and teh Order of the NOTHING.
Ok, if you read my previous post, you'll see that I absolutely LOVED transformers. Now, that movie changed some things about the original show, which is not only understandable, but expected. A movie today can not be 100% like the show or book it was adapted from I understand that, I really do.
Watching the Harry Potter movie was like watching a movie that was made by someone who didn't read the books. It is like they had a summary of the plot, without any of the character development or behavior.
I expected changes, I expected exemptions, really, I did. I have a problem with the changed they make because most of them were not only unnecessary changes, but most of them changed the characters in ways that is detrimental to the story. I don't want to go over every detail, because I know most of you don't want to read that. I just wanted to vent somewhere that I do not feel they stayed true to the spirit of the books, and that ruined the movie for me.
Also, NO QUIDDITCH AGAIN.
P.S. I think I am in love with Luna.

More than Meets the Eye
Hey everyone. I saw transformers tonight, with my fiancee and my nephew. I must say that, though I was expecting a terrible butchering of my beloved robots in disguise, the movie was, as my nephew put it best, PHENOMENAL. Absolutely amazing. I loved every single second of it. The acting and effects and writing and plot all blended so perfectly, I really must say that the crew, along with director Michael Bay, did an absolutely phenomenally fantastic job. I have two qualms with the movie, but they are both supremely surmountable and did not effect my feelings for the movie. I honestly wanted to go to the next showing of it, right there, but I have to survive to go into work and spread the news. FAN-FRIGGIN-TASTIC.

Advice: Do not vomit while you sleep.
Just thought you guys might like to know this. I finally fell asleep, finally. All of a sudden, I'm sitting up in bed, with a mouth full of vomit. Hot sticky chunky acid vomit. Run to toilet; vomit. Rinse mouth with water; dry heave. Gulp Pepto Bismol in panic; throw up panick bismol. Call Mal, make her worry. Stupid Dan.
Now that I can clear my throat without vomit coming up, I'm going to go brush my teeth and go to bed.
I feel like that dead dog we saw at the beach, with the decomposing bloated stomach.

Okay, so it's mid-afternoon on a Saturday. I'm wearing my favourite shorts, which, some of you may know, were brutally ripped the other day. They are so old an worn that they didn't even rip on a seam. The fabric just sort of came apart. I'm going to miss the little guys, especially because I can't find any shorts that aren't retarded. Why are there so many pockets? I only require four, you can keep for "MP3 Pocket" which is just a mesh pocket inside another pocket. This is what the world has come to? Pockets within pockets advertised as MP3 Pockets? Can IO put MP3s in it? Does it hold ones and zeros? I think not.
So, an update, if you will. I still love my job. The only time I made a call I didn't like it was to the Kingsville Fisherman's Company, in (obviously) Kingsville. I wouldn't have minded that it was on the dock, I actually liked it, nice breeze off the lake. I wouldn't have minded if it was for a computer in the office, even though you have to walk through the fish-floor to get to the offices. Children, listen, it was on the fish floor. I mean DIRECTLY. This is the computer the people who gut fish use to print labels, as they gut fish. The whole thing was grimy, with what I can only assume was fish guts. It was so bad I had to use italics to describe it. Really.
The wedding plans are coming along, sort of. I guess we read the contract for Willistead wrong, so the ceremony is at 3 instead of 4. Luckily we found this out the day we were bringing the proof for the invitations in, and not after. No big deal, I'm sure people will figure something out. They're adults, they can mingle for an hour, right? Either way, I can wear my SEP badge the entire time they're waiting for us. That's right: Somebody Else's Problem. The caterer wants us to have butler-passed hors'douvres but I am all "$1000? No way!". Too much to pay for mini-quiches.
I am going to be purchasing a camera soon. I am going to sell my old PPC and other stuff on eBay, and then purchase myself a Canon 350d Digital Rebel XT. Body only, of course, I can use my current lens. This I am excited about. You know how it is. I want to take pictures! I lvoe my camera, it's a wonder, but it consumes film as though it was a hungry child, with piles of whatever kids like, I assume hot dogs. Maybe pickles? Pickle dogs. Hot pickles!! I am a genius, I think. Regardless, I am excited about accelerating into the future.
I should cut this short now, because blogs are like thirsty people. If you're very thirsty and very hot you should drink a lot of water immediately, because you will throw up all over my dad and then he will punch you in your face. This happened once.
