A Letter to the Editor

Hey there, true believers!

Are you tired of me? Are you sick of my lies and deceit, and my excuses? Well then I free you! Be slaves to me no longer, for those that believe not the truth shall believe not anything.

I am sick of being lame. I want to create something epic, something that people will tell their friends about, something tangible that I can be proud of. I have poems, but I don't think anyone actually likes them as poems. I think people mostly read them and say "That's good, for someone who isn't really a poet." I need to change that. Not necessarily with poems, but with something. I need to write something that people will like, possibly even love. Something that will capture the hearts of millions, or, failing that, hundreds, even tens.

But what do I write?
Also: where? No one reads this little blog thing. The true believers I address are none other than my sister and perhaps some lonely soul who wandered into the Internet, hoping only to find someone slightly more pathetic than themselves. I am glad to know that I have delivered!

People seem to like fantasy. I like fantasy. Maybe if I write something fantastical people will like me. But is that really it? I don't care if they like me, just as long as they appreciate what I've written. I am mostly worried that what I write will be unoriginal...simply a mash of everything I've ever read. Perhaps that is enough...perhaps that is original. Perhaps what I need to do is write something that I want to read.

Perhaps.

Like a Smack in teh Face with a Trout

So I go to bed, all dreamy like. All of a sudden I'm up, I've just realized: I am to be married in 6 days!!! SIX. This is far too little time, why wasn't I informed sooner? I don't have time to sleep! There is too much to do!!

Fark!

Alas, I think the project's secrecy has been done away with. I believe only one person doesn't know (sorry, Dude), and he will shortly, I'm sure.

I got a TV! Oh wait, no, no, that's not good, it has no A/V inputs!!! FARK!! FARK FARK FARK!!! That means I'd have to get an RF Modulator (and no, the original NES RF switch WILL NOT work, I tried it.), and if I'm going to buy an RF modulator, that will probably be ~$30 (not to mention the signal degradation!), and for that, I might just be able to get a TV with A/V in, from Avenue on Ottawa, where I will attempt to do just that this weekend. LUCKILY the TV came to no harm, and neither did my wallet in acquiring it. It came from my Dad, who was not using it, and so shall it be returned unto him, this Sunday, whence I shall make the voyage to Morpeth once more to feast on curry and the like.

I Have commenced work on a to secret project. I cannot give you any details now, as I am still in the research phase. However, this weekend may be "the weekend" where I begin construction on what is destined to be the future of household fun. Well, for me it is.

If anyone has a Used 20"-27" TV that they are looking to get rid of, let me know asap! ASAP stands for as soon as possible. Just letting you know.

Harry Potter and teh Order of the NOTHING.

Ok, if you read my previous post, you'll see that I absolutely LOVED transformers. Now, that movie changed some things about the original show, which is not only understandable, but expected. A movie today can not be 100% like the show or book it was adapted from I understand that, I really do.
Watching the Harry Potter movie was like watching a movie that was made by someone who didn't read the books. It is like they had a summary of the plot, without any of the character development or behavior.
I expected changes, I expected exemptions, really, I did. I have a problem with the changed they make because most of them were not only unnecessary changes, but most of them changed the characters in ways that is detrimental to the story. I don't want to go over every detail, because I know most of you don't want to read that. I just wanted to vent somewhere that I do not feel they stayed true to the spirit of the books, and that ruined the movie for me.
Also, NO QUIDDITCH AGAIN.

P.S. I think I am in love with Luna.

More than Meets the Eye

Hey everyone. I saw transformers tonight, with my fiancee and my nephew. I must say that, though I was expecting a terrible butchering of my beloved robots in disguise, the movie was, as my nephew put it best, PHENOMENAL. Absolutely amazing. I loved every single second of it. The acting and effects and writing and plot all blended so perfectly, I really must say that the crew, along with director Michael Bay, did an absolutely phenomenally fantastic job. I have two qualms with the movie, but they are both supremely surmountable and did not effect my feelings for the movie. I honestly wanted to go to the next showing of it, right there, but I have to survive to go into work and spread the news. FAN-FRIGGIN-TASTIC.
